The Livonia Police Department held a meet and greet community event at the Harvest Festival held at Greenmead Park on the weekend of October 9 and 10. It was one of the police department’s offerings as part of a "Faith and Blue" collaboration – which emphasized the support of various churches and faith groups for their local police.

The "Faith and Blue" display was well attended – featuring FREE t-shirts, handouts, cider & donuts, pumpkin painting, a police dog (K-9), and many officers to chat and get acquainted with – also some picture taking!! Learn more about the Faith and Blue Initiative <here>.
Christ Our Savior is looking into opportunities to support the Livonia P.D. and other first responders in their public service to the community. They are heroes with a unique calling on their lives and we thank God for them!
Our congregation presented a Heart of Mercy & Compassion to the police and fire chiefs of Livonia in May, and also to St. Mary's Hospital in June. These Hearts, combined with our presence at the Faith & Blue event, have been some of our first efforts of special outreach to First Responders.
