Join the New Media Team

By Rev. Joel S. Eden, Associate Pastor
A new media team is being built and trained to produce Christ Our Savior’s “Worship at Home” videos (which will continue after COVID-19), and you’re invited.
Christ Our Savior will not be in “exile” from corporate, in-person worship forever, but not everyone will be ready or able to meet corporately when we return to worship (just like it’s always been). Our recorded, online worship services are going to become more valuable than ever to more people than ever.

It takes a dedicated team of willing and enthusiastic people to produce these videos on a weekly basis, and we’re building this team from the ground up. We’re investing the resources to make this possible and professional, but we also need the personnel.
Whether you are familiar with ProPresenter, OBS Studio, video cameras, audio mixers, or not, we’re interested in having you be part of our team. All training will be provided, and we will be starting very soon. Some training will be done remotely, but much will have to be done in person, of course.

If you have experience with audio or video production, we would love to learn from you as we build this team and ministry. Christ Our Savior’s mission is to make disciples who share the love of Jesus Christ in these communities and with people everywhere, and these online services will become one aspect of that work.
We know that you might not fall in love with video production and you might wonder if you’re “cut out” for this kind of thing. That’s OK. If you’re willing to try, we’re willing to train. If you’re willing to serve others, we’re willing to serve you. We’re not asking you to commit to this team until Jesus returns (unless he returns really soon), but we anticipate needing 2-3 additional people in the media booth every Sunday in order to produce an excellent quality recording. The team might look different in 6 months as people realize this isn’t their gig and others decide to join, but it is critical to get a launch team in place quickly to be prepared for when we return to worship.

I look forward to building this team and working with you. Please email me right away if you have any interest in this at all.
