The staff at Christ Our Savior are excited to present our fall education opportunities for our members of all ages. Our goal is to point you to Christ, knowing that engaging with His Word with others is an integral part of feeding your faith and following him.
Youth Classes
Sunday School Opening: Preschool, Elementary and Middle School students (Pre3 through 6th grade) will begin the Sunday School hour together with a time of music followed by an introduction of the day's lesson. This opening will be held in rooms 8 and 9. Afterwards, the kids will split into their groups for the rest of the Sunday School time where they will have the lesson reinforced through discussion and activities as they build relationships with each other and their Sunday School teachers.
Preschool-Kindergarten will move to room 15. 1st-3rd grade students will remain in rooms 8 and 9. 4th-6th grade kids will gather in the new junior high youth room, found in rooms 10 through 12. All classes will continue to use the Enduring Faith curriculum, published by Concordia Publishing House.
We will hold Catechism classes on Sunday morning as well for 7th and 8th grade students. These classes will be led by Pastor Davenport and will meet in rooms 5 and 6.
9th-12th grade students will meet in the senior high youth room. This group will be led by Pastor Eden and other youth leaders. These students will also use the Enduring Faith curriculum, studying directly from the Bible to strengthen them in their faith and daily walk as Christians.
Additionally, we will offer a class for those in the congregation with special needs. All ages are welcome, and Diane Christianson will lead the students through the Enduring Faith curriculum. This group will meet in room 4.

Adult Classes
We will provide a variety of classes for adults (anyone graduated from high school qualifies as an adult!). Through these classes we hope to encourage you to study the Word and grow in your faith. We present a variety of teachers and topics so that you can choose a study where you can best learn and grow.
1) A Simple Explanation -- taught by various teachers. Based on the pamphlet series printed by Concordia Publishing House, "A Simple Explanation," this Bible class challenges us to look at parts of our faith that we might have taken for granted or never fully understood. Each week will address a different tradition or doctrine of the church and guide us through a discussion of what it really means and how it is important for us today. This class will be held in the gym.
2) Enduring Faith -- taught by Pastor Hill, Pastor Cronkright, and Vicar Gapski. This Bible class is a chronological deep-dive into the New Testament. Topics will parallel the Sunday School lessons that the children cover each week. This class is open to all--parents who want to follow along with what their children are learning, or anyone who simply wants a fresh and deeper look at some of the familiar Bible stories. This class will be held in rooms 1 through 3.
3) Bethel Series -- led by Judy Mayle. The Bethel Bible Series takes a deep look at the Bible, exploring the historic and cultural setting of the text as well as the theological meaning. The materials help us to see how the Old Testament and New Testament relate to each other, and provide deeper insight into each book of the Bible. They are currently studying the New Testament. This group meets in the Gethsemane Chapel.
