The mission of Women's Ministry is to give care and support to all women so that they may grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and reflect His love in their lives.

Women's Groups

Women of the Word (WOW) and Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML)

This organization provides the opportunity to serve others, enjoy fellowship, and support LWML events. Meetings are held on the 2nd Monday of every month, starting at 6:30 p.m. with fellowship followed by a meeting at 7 p.m. Special events are held throughout the year. Christ Our Savior supports LWML by Mite Box contributions collected each month in the box in the narthex. Quilters meet on the 1st and 4th Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. and on the 2nd Saturday at 9 a.m.

The Council of Lutheran Women is an association of Detroit-area Lutheran Women's groups. An annual luncheon honoring the Lutheran Women of the Year will be held on March 15, 2022 at the Macomb Sports Expo Center in Warren.

Moms of Faith

All moms in the congregation are invited to join us on Tuesday mornings for uplifting fellowship and devotions, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in the Gethsemane Chapel. Free childcare is provided! Tuesday Morning Bible Study

Trust God. It sounds so simple. Yet it is often difficult to trust God with important areas of our lives—our money, our health, our day to day living. In the book of Exodus, the second book in the Old Testament, Israel’s struggles resemble our own. In this story of hardship and hope, we can learn along with Israel that God is worthy of our trust. Join us on Tuesday mornings from 10 to 11 a.m. in rooms 5 & 6 with Susan Thomson, starting on Sep 12, 2023.  Bring your Bible!

Wednesday Evening Bible Study

The Wednesday night Women’s Bible study started on Sep 13, 2023. This group meets at 6:30 p.m. in rooms 5 & 6 and is lead by Sandy Keil. Come to share concerns, pray and most importantly study God’s Word and apply it your daily life.

Quilters

Our quilters meet every Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in rooms 1-3 to cut squares, design, assemble, and sew quilts for Lutheran World Relief. Bring a sack lunch, coffee is provided. Donations of material, sheets, and thread are always needed. 

Covered in Prayer & Prayer Connection

The mission of "Covered in Prayer" is to provide hope and comfort to those who most need a reminder of God's love for them through the work of our hands and heart through warm, colorful lap-ghans (or throws) that will let the recipient know that they have truly been "covered in prayer." We also organized a Christ Our Savior "Prayer Connection," a prayer team that lifts up the weekly prayer requests.
