"Screen Free" Summer Hours
by Miriam Rossow on June 30th, 2020
The following is a blog about taking some extra time away from screens (phones, computers, televisions, etc.) this summer. Many of us had a lot of extra screen time the last few months due to school, work, meetings, etc. all being online. The blogger suggests some general ways to enjoy some time without screens. Following the blog are some specific ideas gathered by Karla Schettenhelm for the screen-free tips the blogger discusses.

A Deacon Delivers
by Miriam Rossow on May 1st, 2020
This lesson shows us how God used a man, Philp, to help another man, the Ethiopian, understand God’s word. After the Ethiopian learned about God he wanted to be baptized, and Philip baptized him. We see how the Holy Spirit works through the Word and Baptism to give faith. Find the account of this story in Acts 8:26-40

A Revealing Truth
by Miriam Rossow on April 17th, 2020
The Road to Emmaus account is found in Luke 24:13-35. The word Emmaus means “hot springs.” Emmaus was a small village about 7 miles from Jerusalem. How far is church from your house? How far is the grocery store? Think about something that is about 7 miles from your house? Do you think you could walk there? In today’s lesson two men walked to Emmaus from Jerusalem, and Jesus walked with them.
He is Risen. He is Risen Indeed, Alleluia!
by Miriam Rossow on April 11th, 2020
ALLELUIA is a joyful expression meaning Praise the Lord! During Lent we omit the word Alleluia from our worship. Lent is a quiet, reflective season in the church year. Easter is a festive celebration of Jesus’ Resurrection when our Alleluias ring again loud and clear! Alleluia! Happy Easter! This lesson will show us why Easter makes us excited to celebrate! Jesus conquered death and rose from the dead, giving us eternal life in Him!

by Miriam Rossow on March 27th, 2020
The current state of things in our world certainly can fill us with the fear of danger, specifically now as the virus is invading our lives in many ways, but thankfully we can rely on Jesus to be our Good Shepherd being with us at all times, protecting us.

By Rev. Joel S. Eden, Associate PastorWe definitely want your kids with us in worship, because children grow in worship!Growth implies change, but growth does not always imply good change. A child can grow in maturity, skills, knowledge, wisdom, etc. but a child can also grow to be a real—umm—not-nice-person. (So can adults, by the way.) Growth can be good or bad.Once a strawberry seed begins to g...
