Where are the Ferrys?
By Miriam Rossow, Communications Coordinator
Often during the summer, missionaries get to come home, visit family and friends, visit churches thanking them for their support and letting them know a little more about how Jesus is working in and through them. This summer everything is different. Flights in and out of countries are hard to find. Churches are not open the way they have been in the past. Having a lunch or large gathering is not as simple as saying come and join us during these times.
The Ferry's children had many reactions to the news that they would not be headed to the states this summer. Here is an excerpt from a note they sent and a video from the children sharing some feelings and a blessing for you.
From a correspondence with the Ferrys...
"Our family was talking this week, and realizing that we won't get back to the US this year after all. The kids had a range of reactions to this, but everyone was adamant that we want to communicate with you and share our continuing gratitude for your ongoing support, trust, and love.
The kids put together this brief video for all of you. It certainly won't win any Oscar awards, but it gets across the point they intended. We pray that especially in these strange and uncertain days, you are given great opportunities to share the sure and certain hope given to us by Jesus."
