Bethlehem
Growing up in my parent’s home at mealtime bread was generally part of the menu. Something as “common and everyday” as bread completed what was being offered for the main course. Things weren’t quite right if bread wasn’t on the table – and everything was better if it was Spatz’s bread!
It may be that you don’t follow this practice – and truth be told maybe its healthier if you don’t! But Christmas isn’t Christmas with out the Bread of life, Jesus, the baby born in the house of bread.
As we celebrate Christmas and live our lives of faith – may the incarnation, life, and mission of Jesus permeate all that we are. Let’s acknowledge Him as the true gift of God sent to save this world with peace from on high, He is bread of life and its in Him that we have all that we need for today and forever.
